A valuable part of the week is getting to know the staff

On this course we will aim to study the following:

  • revise the simple past and talk about consecutive events – after I…, before I …
  • express necessity or lack of necessity - I have to / I don’t have to
  • talk about continuous action or states of being in the past - imperfect tense
  • look at age, forms of blwyddyn (year) , and dates (ordinal numbers)
  • give and ask for simple directions
  • use prepositions with appropriate verb-nouns and study the personal forms of prepositions, e.g. edrych arni hi (look at her) , dweud wrthyn nhw (tell them)
  • use dependent pronouns, e.g. I have read it, I want to see her
  • talking about happenings in the future using the simple future, e.g. I will go
  • revise the use of the four verb tenses, present, past, future and imperfect
  • extend vocabulary and useful phrases

Although the content of this course will initially be delivered through the medium of English, Welsh will gradually become the main language of communication.
